How to set up Google Business Profile

Before you begin

Before you do a deep dive into your google business set-up, we strongly advise you get your sh*t together first.  We have created a form just for you!

So you can have all your information ready to go. It makes your application process easier and quicker.

STEP 5
In the next step it will ask if your business has a Physical location for customer visits. In case you have a physical presence select “yes” or if it is only online then select “no”.

STEP 6
Click next and add your business address. The address you provide must be accurate to avoid any confusion in the verification process.
In the next step you will be asked to answer if the business provides home delivery of services, select “yes” or “no” as applicable. In case you select “Yes” you will be asked to provide the area in which the service is offered. You can also edit this information later in your profile.

STEP 7
Next, add your contact details along with the website URL. If you do not have a website, you can skip this part and fill it out later when it's ready.
Before you move on to the verification process, you have to choose “Yes” or “No” for the “Stay in Know” option that offers to provide updates and recommendations for your business on Google.

Finally, the wait is over. Verify your Google My Business account to prove that the business is legit and operating at the given address. You can complete the verification process by “Postcard verification”, ”phone verification” or “email verification”.
In the case of “postcard verification,” you will receive a postcard at your address within 5-7 days that will contain a code that must be entered into the GBP account.

**Both phone and e-mail verifications are not available to everyone so stick to the postcard in most cases.

NOTE
Until your business account is verified, you can update your Days Open & working hours, Add photos & business descriptions, along with the messaging services. This will further help to add credibility to your business.
